When I think about the holidays I never sit there dreaming about potatoes, cookies, ham, pie, rolls or anything like that.
I have one thing on my mind and that is CHEESE! Specifically fancy goat cheese logs and anything involving brie!
It’s an addiction!
Last year I shared my pishacio goat cheese log and this year It’s time to share my other favorite holiday cheese appetizer: Brie & Fig Bites. The sweet flavor of the figs perfectly compliments the buttery brie creating the BEST flavor combination ever- trust me!
The key ingredient for these Brie & Fig Bits is the fig spread. I specifically use Dalmatia fig spread which you can find at Sprouts conveniently by all the cheeses but you can also get it on Amazon here for super cheap.
Look at that deliciousness!
Ingredients & Directions:
I can’t believe I’m even writing a “recipe” for this but hey here’s what you need and what you do!
- 1 box of your favorite crackers (I used pita crackers)
- 1 jar of Dalmatia fig spread
- 1 wedge of brie (I used triple cream but you can use whatever variation you’d like)
I used a triple cream brie that was on sale at Sprouts and pita crackers. Feel free to use whatever brie/ cracker variations the only important ingredient is the fig spread!
- Spread a little bit of brie and a little bit of fig spread onto a cracker
- Place on a plate and devour
I really have nothing else to say except that you have to make these this holiday season…or really for any event during the year.
Your taste buds will thank you!
