I’m assuming if you’re reading my blog you’ve heard of Bulletproof Coffee before but just in case you haven’t lets back up for a sec to explain what this drink is all about.
Creator of the Bulletproof brand, Dave Asprey, says Bulletproof Coffee should be made up of low-mold coffee beans; at least two tablespoons of unsalted butter (grass-fed, which is higher in Omega 3s and vitamins); and one to two tablespoons of medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, a type of easily digestible fat.
Apparently having this high fat, 450+ calorie cup of coffee instead of breakfast can lead to weight loss, suppress hunger, increased energy throughout the day and helps with mental clarity and focus.
Naturally, I was very intrigued.
I was going about my usual morning routine yesterday; get to work, make some tea, sit down and read The Skinny Confidential and something very exciting caught my eye on her blog: COLD BREW ON TAP IN NORTH PARK! I was immediately intrigued and knew I had to go check out Holsem Coffee myself.
Fast forward to 5:30am today. I woke up like it was Christmas morning, got all ready for work and and got to Holsem Coffee at 7:00am. I had read some negative reviews that this place is often very crowded with slow service but there was NOBODY there and we had our drinks SO FAST I barely had time to snap a couple pictures. They make the drinks right in front of you which was very interesting to see what all actually goes into these unique coffee creations. Let me tell you, they make these drinks with LOVE.
