So, here we are again on Sunday afternoon… you know Summer is fast approaching and you want to make this the week you FINALLY start eating healthy and cooking at home.
However, we’ve been here before: super motivated and with all the best intentions in the world BUT the healthy eating and cooking part never actually happens.

I feel at this point I have the whole meal planning thing down to a science and wanted to share some of my tips and tricks for setting yourself up for success since we all know the saying “if you fail to plan, you’re planning to fail”.
This last week I only exercised a couple times and ate terribly…I earned it right after running a half marathon? I went to pho Monday, sushi Tuesday, Chipotle Wednesday…we won’t even continue.
But, it’s time to take control of my eating again and start this week out right!
On Sundays I typically sit and plan my dinners for the whole week (last week was an exception), write down exactly what I need to buy for ingredients then go to the store and ONLY buy what I need for the week. Doing this has seriously saved me SO MUCH money. I can usually do a full week of meals for about $60 and that includes breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner. STICK TO A LIST AND HAVE A PLAN!
There’s a saying “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” which is so true with eating healthy and on a budget through a busy work week.
